BIO

Zach Lewis was hired as Limestone’s first ever esports Head Coach in March 2020.

“One of the primary things that attracted me to this position was the fact that Limestone was committed to providing the necessary resources to be successful. In doing so, I expect us to bring some excitement and national recognition to campus, while also providing an unparalleled student experience. In addition to having some of the finest facilities and equipment in the country, and we will be able to provide scholarship opportunities for many of our players”.

A native of Tulsa, Lewis was a former esports player and coach at the Oklahoma State University. Lewis earned his two bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Oklahoma State University in 2019 while managing several semiprofessional esports teams.

General Eligibility

  • Must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student. 
  • Must make satisfactory academic progress and maintain a 2.5 GPA. 
  • Must be a student in good standing across the Limestone community. 
  • Must be committed, mannered, disciplined, and responsible. 
  • Must follow program rules and regulations. 

Scholarships

  • Varsity players can earn up to $17,500.00 in competitive and academic scholarships ($5,000.00 of that is for making the team, the rest is regular Limestone scholarships)

  • Junior varsity players can earn up to $13,500.00 in competitive and academic scholarships ($1,000.00 of that is for making the team, the rest is regular Limestone scholarships)

  • Scholarships of $2500.00 will be offered for the SPRING semester. with the following conditions being met:

    • (1) Player has been accepted onto a varsity roster.

    • (2) Player is ranked above gold in their game [silver for Valorant]. 

  • Scholarships of $500.00 will be offered for the SPRING semester. with the following conditions being met:

    • (1) Player has been accepted onto any roster.

    • (2) Player is ranked in their game.

  • Scholarship clarification: Players are able to earn either $2500.00 or $500.00 per semester played on a roster. However, scholarships are not available for the Fall 2020 semester due to COVID-19 delays
